WEDNESDAY 12 MARCH 2014
10:30 On drawing back the curtains this morning and looking at the ice grey sky the first thing I noticed was the white lines down the centre of the road had been repainted. The white dividing line sparkleing a ribbon between the left and right lane.
It would be miraculious if one could always proceed along the right path from where the Lord Jesus Christ is standing. Or does it depend on what side of the road ones house has been built the left or right?
On stepping out of my front door I would proceed directly right but the residents in the houses opposite would have to cross over the dividing line to walk with me along the right path into St Helier.
While the right path to St Catherine's Bay from my home means that I would have to cross over the dividing line on to the left hand path as I see it to walk there.
So the right path to me is not the right path to them but the opposite on the left as I see it from my window.
Perhaps that is why the Cherubim have four faces and wheels that are covered in eyes enabeling them to see and travel in every direction with out ever turning their heads. The right path is the way one is facing according to one's right hand.
I am confused this morning.
10:56 Bright shining sun. Edward is preparing to attend his painting class. I have made myself a milky coffee against my Lent deprivation list sadly.
