FRIDAY 6
6.07 AM. Edward has just woken me up by singing loudly down in the kitchen. Rain all night. We have a thermose flask of hot coffee each at our bedsides. I am yawning with tiredness. My eyes feel gritty and both are watering...It is very dark out in the street. The rain had given everything a shine including the road that has the sheen of a long snake with many moving eyes lit by the reflections tumbling from bright lights of the early morning road traffic vehicles unmercifully splashing the dusty pavements as they rush passed.
We went on an adventure to St Peters Life Style and Garden centre traveling all the way by bus. I am trying to educate Edward into the pleasures of bus travel, he is not convinced as his desire is to drive the car. He keep on resisting my efforts of encouragement at present to use the bus. But of cause he will be forced to do so with his present eye condition before long and he will have to face up to it.
It was sunny with a cool breeze and took us two busses to arrive at our destination. We eat lunch in the Garden Centre cafe which was very nice and expensive. Edward bought items for our two goldfish pond's. It was an enjoyable trip but I got very tired and the both of us were jolly glad to arrive safely home at 4.PM. The lawn looks good after last nights rain and a good cut from Edward. Bed to read our books at 11.PM.

June Walton telephoned she sounded very tired and stressed out due to her home not yet completed.
